Happy New Year! The past year was a fun one to say the least. I took in new experiences with family and friends, was seen on national television, and improved my Instagram content where all my exclusive pictures and videos are shared. In 2025, I will continue exploring the area where I live through my Monthly Adventures Series and pushing my limits with day trips to various locations even further than I did in the past couple of years. Two things I didn't get around to last year that were on my 2024 travel list was a visit to presidential library and a trip to Canada. A vacation in Canada is something I will potentially have take another year, but I do hope to visit at least one presidential library in 2025.
As I have done the past two years, I'm going to preview some of the trips I have planned for 2025. This will help you know what posts to expect and when they will be published online. It can also be a way to put ideas in your head about where you may want to go this year if you don't already have solidified travel plans. Keep in mind that I also don't have all of the details for my 2025 trips finalized which is why I'm only previewing them. I will update this post with links to blog posts recapping each of these trips throughout the year as I get them published.
Virgin Voyages: Dominican Daze
I sailed with Virgin Voyages for my first cruise ever back in December 2023 and loved it so much that I put down money towards my next voyage as that one was concluding. Part of that deal meant sailing within 2 years of my previous trip, so I booked an early 2025 "Dominican Daze" voyage. This trip will feature stops at Puerto Plata in Dominican Republic and the Bahamas! I'm solely focused on my cruise this time around, so I won't be spending extra time in Miami afterward as I had before.
Chicago or San Diego Day Trip
Now that day trips have become a regular occurrence on my blog, I am committed to continuing my personal challenge of exploring cities in a single day. I've become so dedicated to these day trips that I created a list of locations that I would like to visit. I was having trouble selecting locations from this list last year and posted a poll on social media for other people to pick for me. The people voted for Albuquerque, New Mexico and that's where I went this past November. Chicago and San Diego are on my radar along with several other cities for a day trip in 2025. I plan to post another poll again on social media to help me narrow down my options for a future day trip!
Presidential Library & Museum
So far, I have been to two presidential libraries and museums. I need to renew my membership with the LBJ Library which gives me access to other presidential libraries. When I was I took my Day Trip to Dallas, I visited the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. I have a passport souvenir to collect stamps as I make my way across the nation to visit every library. I'm not sure which one I will go to at the time this post is originally published, but my goal is to visit at least one of the libraries I haven't been to yet. This would be ideal for trip this spring or in the fall, but I can also make a summer trip work.
Las Vegas
When I decided to return to blogging a few years ago, I started out the year by taking a trip to Las Vegas every other month. It wasn't intentional, but I kept finding something that drew me there -- An Evening with Silk Sonic residency. Previously, I went to Las Vegas for the first time to celebrate my 21st birthday and followed that up a year and a half later with another visit to attend Lady Gaga's Enigma residency. I love taking short trips to Vegas and I feel like I'm due for my next one now that it's been three years since I was last there!
Looking to the Future
Of course, my plans depend on my work schedule. However, I will continue to find ways to squeeze in as many new experiences and trips into 2025 as possible. I am an ambitious person which means my travel plans are sometimes more than what I can actually accomplish. Nonetheless, I will always try to get as much done as I can! Traveling is important to me and can't let one aspect of my life become so time consuming that I can't enjoy the other aspects.
My resolution last year was to focus on traveling to places I hadn't been to before. For 2025, my resolution is to focus my efforts on improving my content overall by sharing even more interesting experiences on my blog and getting more video content on Instagram. Through a combination of longer vacations, short-term trips, day trips, and capturing moments from activities that don't make the Monthly Adventures Series, I think I can get this done. I'm so excited to share these experiences with you throughout the year! Do you have suggestions for anywhere else I should go or what I should do at these destinations?
