Picking up from where I left off last week, I will talk about part 2 of my trip to Europe. Before getting into details, I wanted to briefly mention EF Tours. This is the company that I toured with. They have reasonable prices and I felt as though the itinerary the company came up with was very good for tourists looking to make the most out of their trip. In fact, their planning is the reason I got to road trip from Edinburgh to London. This was truly an amazing experience, and I highly suggest taking the opportunity to do the same one day! This post and next week's post will revolve around the road trip. The road trip took a total of two days, so I will discuss the first day.

We spent multiple hours on a charter bus driving through the GORGEOUS countryside. Seriously, every single picture I took of the landscape was pure beauty. If you are someone who genuinely enjoys nature, this would be the perfect road trip for you. We made a short early morning stop along the way in the City of Carlisle to visit Hadrian's Wall. This is a great location to learn some Roman history and spend time with sheep (click the link to my photo collection to see what I was talking about). We then continued on our journey for a few more hours before stopping for lunch in Grasmere. Grasmere is an adorable tourist-friendly village with great restaurants, cafés, and novelty shops located in the English Lake District. I had Luxury Ice Cream before getting back on the bus, and it was amazing. I believe it was a local brand, but I am not positive. Either way, it's some of the best ice cream I've ever had! Then we continued the road trip for a few more hours before arriving in Wales for the night.

Our stop for the evening was (to our surprise) Llangollen, Wales. We arrived just before sunset, so we left our bags at the Royal Hotel (a historic hotel) and explored the town before it got dark since we would be leaving when the sun rose the next morning. The town was very beautiful! I took several pictures (also in the link below) and I honestly have not been able to pick a favorite. I met some really nice, helpful people while I was there (I was struggling to count the currency). I would love to go back just to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the town and be around its pleasant people.

If you are looking for a road trip filled with beauty and serenity, this is definitely an option to consider. I love going on road trips, and this is my all-time favorite. I will continue with part 3 of my trip next week (the second half of the road trip) next week. In the meantime, feel free to view the pictures I took in the following link: https://bit.ly/KTTinWales.

*I believe I mentioned previously mentioned that my trip to Europe did include a few days in Paris, France. I am heartbroken by what recently took place and my thoughts are with all affected. I would like to ask those of you who read my blog to send positive thoughts to Paris and do your best to not let the event that took place keep you from going and seeing the wonderful things the city has to offer.
