For the last couple of months, the weather across the country has been terrible. Snow has been treacherous! Texas has even cancelled school due to snow and ice problems. The southern states are not well prepared for such winter weather, and northern states have been taken by surprise as well. Thousands of flights have been cancelled in the last two months due to winter storms, and roads and highways across the country have suddenly become closed. Travelling has suddenly become very difficult to do. People have been stranded on in airports and on the road. What are some ways to prepare for a flight cancellation or road closure? I suggest tracking the weather constantly, along with traffic if you plan to drive anywhere. Another thing I recommend is always carrying a jacket. No matter where you go, it is best to carry a jacket. You honestly don't know when you may need it. The last suggestion I have is packing a bag of essentials. If you are flying, this would count as a "personal item". There is honestly no way to figure out when there will be problem with travel plans, so it is best to pack as if there will be one. These are just a few tips to make travelling less stressful if a problem were to come up. Happy travelling!
